How did you find Starwood Academy of Frisco?

Our family has been attending Starwood Montessori School, and now Starwood Academy of Frisco since both of our children were toddlers. Currently, our children are in the fifth and seventh grades. Our first interaction with the school was during an unscheduled walk-in visit on the recommendation of another family who attended. We were pleasantly greeted and observed the students in their classrooms and witnessed how well-behaved the toddlers were in their environment. We were hooked!

Why did you choose Montessori for your family?

At first, the Montessori program was unfamiliar to us. Brought up as students in public school ourselves, we were unfamiliar with the Montessori experience. However, we quickly learned and embraced the program. Our children excelled in the self-learning environment. We came to realize that Montessori was indeed a great method of teaching with the physical models and materials; these methods allowed concepts to be "seen" rather than simply "learned."

What makes Starwood Academy of Frisco special to you?

All of the various events throughout the years will be in our hearts forever. Muffins for Moms, Donuts for Dads, the school plays, game nights, Valentine's Social, etc. were all endearing times for our family.

What does your family like best about Starwood Academy of Frisco?

Starwood Montessori has been a family affair for us. Since the beginning, our children have loved going to school! Their teachers, guides, administration and Ms. Hanks have always been a very caring group. It is very special when everyone on campus really knows your children, and by name at that! Congratulations to Starwood Montessori. Our years of attendance have memorable. We believe the next 20 years will be the same.
