As part of our 20-year celebration for the 2020- 2021 school year, students, families, guides and alumni are sharing their Montessori story to highlight the impact of Starwood Academy of Frisco education. The Yablonski family (Jeremy and Kerstin with Taylor, Middle School) have been engaged supporters of our school for five years. This is their story:
Why did we choose Montessori for our family?
The Montessori method was everything we were looking for. To us, Montessori is centered on the child's learning through trial and error, which encourages them to explore, experiment, make mistakes, think critically, develop creative solutions, try again, discover and ultimately succeed with their efforts. We choose the Montessori method because we liked the thoughtful and purposeful approach to education which emphasizes the child's ability that directs their development when given the opportunity and tools.
What makes Starwood Academy of Frisco special to you?
I could go on forever talking about Starwood and Taylor's experience. We are so sad that she's graduating this year. We truly love what Ms. Hanks and the Starwood team have built.
What does your family like best about Starwood Academy of Frisco?
Everyone at Starwood Academy of Frisco is so welcoming. They have built an amazing community with everlasting friendships. From Infants, all the way up to Middle School they all interact and support one another.
